also, I know for a fact you can hook up a 360 controller to your pc because I've seen my friend do it to play left 4 dead 2 on his laptop.
So this actually makes it almost like 360 and ps3 players are playing on their consoles against each other. Of course, the pc lag may be closer to one system's (probably 360) and the other group will have to adjust, but still it's as close as we can get to that scenario.

I'm just wondering if people who learn to use the mouse and keyboard will have an advantage, due to the precision aiming. I remember a pc guy said the two classes that were spammed were archers and warriors (and not mages) perhaps due to the mouse's aiming advantage?

I'm definitely going to try it. But in general the reason I buy games for consoles is because I prefer pressing buttons with my thumbs instead of typing, and I prefer the feel of analog sticks over moving a mouse.

I will see if I can get lotrc to work on my Pc. I brought previously a ps3 controler which comes pc compatible with a disk to download for it to work. But its a prety naff controler Costed me just 6 pounds, so I will get my main controler to work to work with it. I hope this works!!!! Also is this program virus proof?

I don' know why you are all saying that Hamachi doesnt work for windows 7. I have Win 7 and it works just fine.

One of the links I posted was to board where quite a few people had issues with win 7. However, the posts were back in Feb, so perhaps currently with updates / patches to either win 7 or hamachi, there's no longer a compatibility issue. Someone else at the pc lotr board also mentioned win 7 worked fine for them.

Not only that, but everything I found about hamachi said it is compatible with windows 7, so it SHOULD work.

I've just created LOTR Conquest 30 as 29 has now only one spot remaining. Password is 1234 as always

Password is 1234 as always Just curious, after you go to a server, and then leave and shutdown Hamachi, will you still appear in the lobby but with the inactive status (which may still take room and potentially prevent others from joining)? I remember trying to join servers 1 through 28, and got the server full message. I'm certain these weren't filled with active people, so I wonder if this may have been the cause. I believe Mayhem mentioned this, but as a host it therefore may be good to periodically kick inactive people to make room for people who actually wants to join and play.

rizen33If you just close Hamachi(and don't leave the network) then you will take up a space and have the offline symbol next to your name. This means no one else can join in your place. But if you leave the network then you will be removed from that network allowing a space for another person to join in your place. If everyone does this than we can have more people playing at any one time instead of ony 2 or 3 people online at any one time. (To leave a network right click on it and select leave.)

The servers 1 through to 28 have offline people in them and when they are online they are never playing conquest anyway.

Thanks John, this is a really good point. I didn't know this, and I imagine many others didn't know either.
