Also, I dunno if it was just the program I was using, but I was unable to map controls to the analog sticks when I used my PS3 controller. Obviously, that'd make it hard to play with the controller.
And, shit, no Windows 7? If this works, my normal computer better be able to run the game...

lol 1 min post times maybe we can email the people from that site to reduce the cost (ehm presenting the case that the online capability isnt sponsered anymore but we could get a large group to download if the price was reduced ) they even have a section in which refunds are available once the game is purchased "We find your request reasonable due to special circumstances *Please note: This means that NO refunds will be offered for MMO games where the key has been sent by e-mail by clicking on the Download Now button on your account. All such sales are final." the MMO thing kinda throws stuff off but its possibe

ok this is how the support ticket will look like if anyone wants to add anything to it they should also send their own request
"The online functionality for these games were cut off March 16th 2010. Ive played the ps3 versions for both games and the online functionality is a major part of gameplay. Would this affect the cost of the games themselves if the online functionality isn't applicable?"
"this refers to both mercenaries 2 and lotr conquest " i was also going to add something about if they reduced the prices we could get more people from the boards to actually want to buy it
just a though but if this all works out it could be a union (orgy of players from all three systems and we could see a whole new frontier of game play)
"LOTR second comming" if you will. this is getting me excited xD all we need is some support from the xbox players to come over to the pc

"i was also going to add something about if they reduced the prices we could get more people from the boards to actually want to buy it"
That may give them more incentive to lowering the price, so that may be a good idea. It certainly wouldn't hurt to bring that up as well.

orginally i was going to add something like that but i had the thought they might start asking questions on why people are buying it if the online is gone lol

Just realized, if we can get the controllers to fully work on the PC, then the PS3 players could finally have a fight against the 360 players.

Here's a possible solution for win 7 users: "First of all it was a pain in the rump jumping through all the hoops to post this fix. But, it is not the gamers fault this forum sucks.. So, that said.. I will now share with you a fix for Hamachi and Windows7. *I have not tested this on any other version of Hamachi. But. one would think the fix would be universal.. I found great improvement while playing games with my friends over the default setting with other operating systems. (Windows XP Pro, and Windows Vista x64 Ultimate)
The process you are about to use is quite a bit like setting priority of programs running in windows. The difference is.. You will be assigning a priority to the Hamachi network adapter. That said.. this is the Hamachi version 1.0.15 fix for Windows 7..
First click on start and navigate to the Control Panel. Next , click on Network and Internet, Network and Sharing Center, and then click on Change Adaper Settings*. (Change Adapter Settings is located at the top left side of your open windows 7 page). Now for the tricky part.. Ha Ha.. (sarcastic) Right click on the Hamachi network adapter. Notice you see a different screen this time. With the left mouse button click on IP Protocol 4 and select Properties just to the right of the selection box. Now in the area you found the "Properties Tab" in the last step you will see a tab similar but called "Advanced" left click the Advanced Tab now.
If you look all the way to the bottom of the screen you will see Automatic Metric. Untick the Automatic Metric. You will see a box with an integer of 9 is present. Change the 9 to a 1 and click OK. there you go fellas.. Start your Hamachi and enjoy Windows 7
