I did not find it as fun as lotr.
The upgraded worker is pretty cool with his bombs. I also like the mage. His fully charged area attack puts enemies on fire and they will run around while burning The warrior is nice for his life. I don't care for the upgraded archer as he fires more slowly does not seem to do much more damage.

I finished story mode last night fairly easy. The worker was my favorite. If you can get the bomb throwing down.....you got a scary attack. I was killing several fighting me....by myself.
I have had a lot of trouble getting to online play. It tries to connect then totally shuts the hgame back to the menu and logs me out of the PS Network. Screws something up so that I have to shut down and turn power button off.....wait then restart. I dont understand why.....

Supposedly they're coming out with a patch to address multiple issues (including connectivity). That is my biggest gripe with the game...actually CONNECTING to an MP match.
I'd love to see a lobby system (like LotR:C's) implemented. It would make things MUCH easier.

I've read that it's a bit easier to get into a game with friends. I haven't completed the campaign yet and I won't try online until I do so hopefully the patch will be out by then.
I guess at some point we'll see games with only upgraded workers running around.

I'm glad its just not me then. I've been attempting connection for 2 days. I have to do a total power down everytime just to get back connected to the PS3 network.
I did see Broncofan in a game under friends and tried to join....unsuccessfully.
BTW....I love playing the Dark Priest also ......loads of fun sucking energy from the other team....lol

The game definately needs either a lobby system, or to just automatically try another game after a failed connection so I can go do something else while it tries to find a game rather than have to go back to the main screen every time.
Supposedly they're also thinking about nerfing the way the mage gets points. Not that it really matters, but it is a little strange they get the same points you get for a kill for every person they merely hit and do barely any damage to with their AoE ice spell.

Ice Magic in general is pretty gay, even for the team using it. One mage can keep a ton of enemies frozen for quite a bit, and his own team can't hurt the frozen enemies effectively (the ice either greatly reduces or eliminates damage done while they're in it). They need to made it so it only freezes when it's significantly charged, or simply remove the AoE freeze (made it deal damage instead) all together and only have the single target shots freeze.

Yeah, I mean, it seems obvious to me that the real purpose of the ice AoE is to slow down people chasing the guy with the Princess, or the people carrying it. Which is fine and makes sense, but nobody really seems to use it for that.
It's definately supposed to be a support class, but everyone uses it as an offensive class ( remind you of anything? ). It's too bad because I really like playing support classes in games for some reason, but fortunately in this I can stick with the light priest or worker.

I absolutely love the worker. I love building things and when the upgrade occurs...he's a pretty formidable warrior (with his bombs).
However, I can't lie...I'm a nasty Mage. I've terrorised numerous foes with my fire and ice spells. Though, I can't blame them for nerfing the class (in the update).
I'm quite disappointed with the Warrior. At first, I loved that class...especially when playing the single player. But, in the MP...he's just about useless. Unless you get a large number of Warriors to storm the opposing castle. The Dark Priest drains his health too easily and he's pretty much just a sitting duck for every other class,

The charge attack with the halbred is pretty sick against a single opponent. I'm going to try playing it a little more out of warrior loyalty, but I think the shield is a pretty big advantage no one is using. There's a lot of archers out there, and I'll need to test to see what else it can block.
Supposedly, in the beta, a group of guys all went warrior and decided to do the "300 defense," all lining up with shields in a phalanx and charging the enemy castle, and it worked.

Alright guys, the patch is officially out today. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm about to.
The official site gives a list of the updates, and while most of them are just technobabble about making it easier to connect to the game, there are some pretty huge changes to the point system as well. Straight from the official site:
-Ice Mage and Dark Priest AoE scoring has been adjusted from 10 points to 2 points per enemy affected.
-Non-worker resource return has been reduced from 20 points to 10 points.
-Feeding the princess has been reduced from 20 points to 15 points.
-Castle door hit points have been reduced slightly from 30 to 25.
-The Princess’ calorie burn has been increased at weight stage 2, 3, and 4. Calorie burn was previously 2 per second at all stages. Stage 2 is now 4 per second, stage 3 is 8 per second, and stage 4 is 12 per second.
That's a HUGE drop in the AoE attacks. Chopping wood all game is now officially the best way to get points cheap.

Well, at least you're actually contributing meaningfully to your team while doing that.
