Hmmmm..... Except for the part that's in latin, I think that I can see both sides of this debate. On the one hand, it does seem like it would screw things up if everytime that somebody was short a player they used Broly for their sub... D: I also seems like if too many of the same people were on different teams that it would kinda defeat the purpose of having teams... On the other hand, Wolverine is a member of both the Avengers AND the X-men. And whenever a threat emerged that no single hero could withstand, he teamed up with just about every team there was to get the job done. Was he tired and strung out? Sure. But he did it anyway. Why? Because of his indomitable spirit, adamantium claws, and mutant healing factor. That's why. And if the time ever came when the X-men had to fight the Avengers I'm sure that he would make whatever tough decisions he needed to. I think that's it's time that everyone took a minute and asked themselves......... What would Wolverine do? ............................ Back in BM's first tourney Demon claimed me as part of his army (which BTW Mr. Commissioner, was never listed as a potential risk of participation... ). For those of you who don't know the Demon is very possessive. I really think that all of us are part of Demon's Army on some level..lol But I wasn't about to be anybody's flunky so I escaped! ;D After that I declared myself a mercenary for hire! Willing to sell my sword to the highest bidder! Since then I found myself allied with the occasional army here, or elite assassination squad there... but I always retained my autonomy. Now I we are at the end of the road and I will be fighting with the Evenstar Valkyries of Darkness. This is partly because the Valkyrie paid me, in advance, every day for a week and a half ( ) and partly because the Final War would not be complete without the Mighty Cat-Tooth Ragnarok cannot happen until the Fenris Cat swallows the rizen sun, the Night God Broly and the Killa Serpant slay each other in battle, and the Valkyries usher the fallen warriors to which ever aferlife best suits them. But by far the most important thing that any of you can remember in all of this is.......... I AM NOT A VALKYRIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My concern right now is that if ouphe was allowed to stay in both clans, then everyone who wants to would see that as a green light to join multiple clans.
It's true that I knew ouphe was in both clans prior to the tournament and didn't say anything. That's not because I didn't object to it. I still found it to be distasteful in the highest degree. No, I didn't say anything because just one person doing it doesn't really matter. But once you open the door for other people and it becomes a trend then that's a problem.
I know one of the arguments is that conquest has only two weeks left, so who cares. But just because the end is near doesn't mean we should allow everything to descend into chaos. We should try to maintain some semblance of order, dignity, and the ideals of fairness in competition which this community has embraced throughout its existence.
Strider and straightcash have seen it fit to return to their clan. Why is that ouphe should receive special treatment?

It’s not going to become a trend. You're being a bit dramatic, I believe.

Nothing is going to descend into chaos. If anything, your overreaction to this situation has turned people off to the idea of wanting to participate in this tournament further.
Strider and straightcash have seen it fit to return to their clan. Why is that ouphe should receive special treatment?
She isn’t receiving special treatment. Again (& again), there are other members (in this tournament) that are playing and have played for two clans. I'm not going to throw anyone under the bus - so I'm not going to name drop. On top of that, the issue isn't that serious - you're just making it to be.
On the issue (as a whole):
Clans should field their own members FIRST and FOREMOST before any subs are entered. Maybe have a sub limit - 2 per clan? Though, I'm not a big fan of creating rules on the fly.
Players that were in two clans before the tournament began should be able to play for both teams. There was no rule set forth that denied anyone from doing so. To backtrack now is a bit ridiculous. I can understand the notion of clan-hopping now (that the tournament has started) as being unfair. But we're talking about people (not one person) that were already in two clans.
You knew that there were people in multiple clans and if you really thought it to be an issue, you would have mentioned it prior to the tournament. You just can't seem to get over the fact that no one is doing it to be unfair or deceitful.
Can we just have fun and play some good matches?

Their intentions are irrelevant. It IS unfair, whether they intend it or not.

I sigh again. Care to explain how it's unfair?

I read most of it. I meant, come up with a real argument. Not any of this junk. This game is dying, must you really be an asshat when everyone else is trying to have fun? And, does it matter. I sincerely doubt your going to lose, but really, you won't to solve this matter, then just make it so if they do meet up in the end, she has to stick with one for the rest of the tourney.

mhm. Why don't you stop flouting your self-righteous indignation and actually say something intelligent, like maybe actually explaining where exactly my argument is wrong. What's that? You're not capable of such a thing? Then stfu.

Nothing is going to descend into chaos.
Before this issue, there's been no mention that being in multiple clans is against the rules.
So, if anybody was actually going to do as you suggest, they'd already be doing it.
You have to look past the principle of the argument to see the reality of the situation. That is, that nothing is going to explode just because there's some minute chance it will.

Thank you. I know (probably better than most, lol) how hard it is to admit a mistake. Pride often pushes us into denial. I know it's happened to me, but I respect that you were able to resist that urge..

Is it not possible to just step back for a moment, put the arguments aside and actually see Fangorn forest for the trees? "But just because the end is near doesn't mean we should allow everything to descend into chaos" OMG!!!!!! Saruman has stripped the forest for his war machines to make room for Modern Warfare 2 and other fps games! Is it really going alter the FACT that in 11 days and counting our little LOTR world will explode into nothingness? NO!!! So relax, lay back, close your eyes & enjoy the ride! On March 17 you can wake up feeling all dirty then.
