Fleur-de-Lis is probably the most annoying mage i ever faced, and by annoying I mean good, anyone who underrates her is a fool.

hey no worries wottes. lol I'm surprised I'm even on the list as a honourable mention. I'm really just an average player, that tries to help my team, I'm not in it for the points just the comradeship of playing with my friends. There are far better players out there that should have been mentioned than myself: Sunkiss Cherry, Adanedhel's-Wife, wottesworthsgurl, Ed_on_PSN, too_old2behere, bierslayer69, don1eye, xLateralis, broncofan, cat-tooth ...... the list can go on & on I just think anyone who loves this game and plays religiously day in & day out to keep it alive, all deserve a standing ovation & a round of applause! ;D

what is an average player?? do you change the tide for your team? some ppl who play during the day think they are very good but bring them on at night and then you may test your skills with some harder opponents

1 on 1 doesnt test a player full potental. A player's ability is only messured how they play in a full room.
When a player gets attacked from all sides by 6 mages and that player kills 3. Or their 17kills in tdm wins it for your team. This is there potental.

1 on 1 doesnt test a player full potental. A player's ability is only messured how they play in a full room. When a player gets attacked from all sides by 6 mages and that player kills 3. Or their 17kills in tdm wins it for your team. This is there potental. But, if one can't compete in 1v1s, it casts serious doubt on their ability to get kills. Of course, killing 3 of 6 mages can't be faked, but one can simply follow his team around stealing their kills to get an inflated score without any real skill. 1v1s are the purest test of knowing how your class kills enemies. If you can't get kills on your own, then you're not that good at the game. The way I see it is this: Being good at 1v1s doesn't mean you're better at 8v8s. It can be a relatively strong indication for classes like warriors and mages, but a 1v1 doesn't by itself prove who's the better player. However, if you're not good at 1v1s, then it's doubtful that you're all that great at 8v8s. It usually indicates that you'll have trouble getting kills on your own, which limits your effectiveness in the long run. I mean, I guess there could be some outliers who for some reason cannot perform in 1v1s, but have absolutely no problems in 8v8s, but it seems unlikely to me for the majority of cases. Also, of course, this doesn't apply to scouts and archers, whose 1v1s test things that are rarely used or not that important in 8v8s (scouts rarely use melee, and archers require precision in 8v8 as opposed to general accuracy in 1v1s).
