lol, so vho beat broly's gimli and frodo with the witch king. Whoo. There's an inherent imbalance in hero 1v1s. They don't mean shit.
WTF?
I would never do that. If I did, then there must have been a damn good reason for it, but I have no recollection whatsoever of healing in a warrior 1v1 EVER.
And after the vho fight iirc I had to go. We could have fought another time, but he never messaged me so :\
Weren't you just singing the praises of experiment and jimmy for doing much worse? Seems like a double standard to me.
I caused loads of "drama" on ps3. It fired people up and increased many people's competitive spirit, my own included. Some people may have hated me for it, but like you said with jimmy and experiment, it was good for the game.

That doesn't make any sense. Why would I spawn as warrior only to switch to scout? There's no advantage to be gained.
And I think I would have remembered if I had switched to mage to heal "often." I don't remember doing it at all, but I do realize the human memory is very far from perfect, and we misremember things all the time, and we can even convince ourselves that we are remembering things which never happened, so I'm willing to concede it's possible that I may have healed once. I don't know why I would have, I mean I must have had a reason since that's not something I would ever do. At the same time, it's entirely possible that it is your mind which is deceiving you. Perhaps you're remembering something else or someone else.
I would argue that our emotions are not different depending on their cause. Happiness is still happiness, sadness is still sadness regardless of what the motivating factor is. So when people say its just a game, well, maybe, but it can still affect us in real ways.
And I give respect where it's due, most of the time anyway. For example, I don't like god of war much as a person, and I've told him exactly that over the mic, but at the same time in this very thread I've sung his praises as an "exceptional" player and a top 10 or better scout on ps3. I've given props to various people I've beaten in 1v1s, as you can see for yourself in the 1v1 threads I posted.
The thing is, I also give disrespect when it is due. Like with ouphe - she sucks but she thinks she's good. I feel the need to remind her that she isn't.

I appreciate the compliments, but you would rate vho above me because I play...smarter?
You may not like it, but you should give credit where it is due, as you said. If the strategy is superior, you may still find it distasteful but you can't say that someone who lost with a different strategy is better just because you like their style.
For example, from 2003-2007 the spurs were the best team in basketball. They won 3 out of a possible 5 championships over that period of time. However, many people didn't like them because their style of play, while incredibly efficient (as evidenced by their regular season and playoff records, as well as their multiple championships) was very boring to watch. They would slow the game down to a painful grind, and depend on their nasty defense more than shoving the ball down their opponents throat on offense. And when I say nasty defense I not only mean really good, but also dirty, as in underhanded. Bruce Bowen, their best perimeter defender during that time, was voted by the his nba peers as the dirtiest player in the game. Robert Horry too (see hip check on Steve Nash, for example).
During the same time the Suns were playing sensational basketball. They played the most exciting brand of basketball in the league during that time, featuring a high octane offense. They played the game the way many thought it should be played - light hearted, free flowing, fun for both the players and the fans. And they were regularly one of the best teams in the NBA every regular season; in '04-'05 they won 62 games and finished with the best record in the league, in '05-'06 they on 54, and in '06-'07 they won 61. Yet in 2 of those 3 years they were knocked out of the playoffs by the Spurs; they lost to the spurs in the '04-'05 playoffs, 4 games to 1, and again in '06-'07, 4-2.
Now, I was a huge suns fan during this time. I wanted them to win the championship every year. And I fucking hated the spurs more than any other team. I cursed them out every fucking time I saw them on TV. But I still (begrudgingly) admitted that they were the better team, no matter how much it bugged me or how much they sucked to watch.
It's the same thing with this "warrior spirit" stuff. It might be more entertaining, you may think its more honorable and more fun, and you might think my "don't get hit" style is boring and dishonorable, but you can't deny that it works, nor can you pretend that "warrior spirit" style is more effective.

The reason I mentioned it was a htdm is because no one is arguing xbox players are better for htdm, no one is arguing there. If I was a betting man I would prob voted vho before the game (if you can call it a game it was more of us just messing around). standard matches are completely different matter, hero warrior are almost like different classes. Broly denying a 1v1 is somthing personal to vho, broly will most often reject them no matter who they are even if he had previously been doing 1v1s he will have a change of mind. That's just him.

i went 16-1 with him once, but i had a slicker of health before the match ended
its hard as hell to fight with him, it depends on what players r in the room, and if youre facing a good team, is youre support good
LMAO i used to run around the map with gimili like non stop running through the evil and good team sometimes, and i would try and see if others from both teams would join me in a nice jog around osgilath ;]
its funny as hell because ppl look at you like youre dumb, and since gimils fast they cnt catch u, though they can pick u off with a backstab..jump u, or toss a firewall on u lmao
but the best is when they join u it looks so funny

Am i late for this debate? o.0 I think your all dumbarses who cares anymore all 1v1s dont mean shit, anyone can have an off day.. the real factor in someones worthe is how they do in a full room and situations regaurding their current class.. i've seen mime/lstar lock full teams in a spawn by themselves 2v8 (non shitty players at that) 2 comrads working together like that has 4 times as much badassness to me than anyone who CLAIMS to be a 1v1 ChaMpiON~~ there is more honor with one warrior who charges in trying to drop mage shields in attempt to let his archer/mages get fire arrows to their domes or firewalls at their boots..that 1 lone warrior can go 0-50 for all i give a fuck but he still is a team player witch would put him on my list of teamates before any solo fuck who thinks he is king shit and would rather run to save his own skin and let 3 of his teamates die.. ( 0.0 i think i just described myself as a shitty teamate ..... oh well) i've spent countless hours headhunting mime on scout because i know if i took down the best supporter the battle would change... 1 good team player can change the tide of the entire game/ opposed to the one solo dude who thinks his kills alone can win a match..... Wow i think i just started rambling near the end there...and now i forget what i was talking about.. sooooooo fuck it IIx oNesHoT xII out~ /smokebomb

i never said 1v1 proves who's better you dumb shit, actually in one of my posts i said that 2 ps3 mages who aren't good in 1v1 are great in 8v8, but 1v1 does show who fights smarter as a mage, idc what you say, but that 1v1 of swami is extremely far from impressive, he continuously makes mistakes and doesn't fight intelligently, so as far as 1v1 go's he's not good imo. 8v8 i can't really judge because i haven't seen him play, but vik did say that there was no kick ass mages on xbox, at least the ones he played with weren't, including swami. so i'm obviously goin to find it hard to think that you have great mages. but again it's just my opinion.
warrior 1v1 just shows your talent against other warriors, doesn't necessarily mean your better then someone you beat, since in 8v8 you hardly can fight the same style, you have to fight smart, fight other classes etc. breaking shields as a warrior is extremely helpful, they may go 3-8 but they're given archers and mages great looks to rack up kills
