hey wottes 1) your standard name brand electronics/cell phone makers usually are of the better quaility. you'll be able to tell which ones look like they'll break easy compared to others. i have a plantronics, sony's seems pretty durable, but there are many others out there and price will be a factor in quailty (as far as durability goes) they prety much all work the same. 2) any where from $10 to $60+ depending how fancy a look and features on it. ones with mute button seem to be a little bit more. i have a plantronics blue tooth paid $19 and change solid one but no mute button works fine pretty durable not one i would want to where in public while on the cell phone but good for ps3'ing 3) two ways 1: most common, blue tooth 2: usb corded (not sure how to do the usb one, assuming just plug it into the ps3 and wala) blue tooth ones: you put the mic into pairing mode (how to in instructions) then on ps3 go to accessory settings and blue tooth device and scan. it will ask for the code (found in instructions of mic) enter it and save. 4)blue tooth ones are found anywhere electroincs are sold, best buy, walmart, any place that sells a cell phone will have blue tooth mics. the usb ones are mostly found at computer stores any store that sells computers probably has usb mics but they might be next to the keyboards and mouse aisle. hope that helps. happy shopping

I use the warhawk mic, so I can't tell you how good the mics are from firsthand experiences, but I've heard the official ps3 mic is good. It's around 50-60$, but it'll last you 2 years or so if you take care of it. You can buy these at gamespot or target. If you want a cheaper alternative, go to radioshack, and buy a 25$ wired mic. Should last you a year. I recommend the ps3 official one though, as I've heard very good things about it.

I'm a computer nerd . I'm wry tech savvy and learned alot by just sitting on my computer all day long on the weekends, and messing about. Eventually, you tend to learn alot. You also learn alot from being on forums and looking it up. I got an A++ as my final grade for computers elective though . And, I program now, so I know how a computer works. Though video games occupy my weekends more then my computer now.

Get the official ps3 Bluetooth. The ones I used for my phone always had a bad connection. The official one is crystal clear every time. Plus it has cool features that show up on the screen like mute and battery level. It's not the most comfortable but it's the best I have used. Amazon. Com. No tax, no shipping about 45.00
