it might be nice if someone could stream the battle so everyone could see what was happening
also an end of the year all out war to see who is the best clan (for the bragging rights of that year)

Streaming is a very very bad idea. Unless you own a big company, it costs alot of money to stream. Lots of bandwidth use. And, even with your own server, You still would have alot of lag while uploading it. Only place in the world i think a civilian would have the upload to do it, would be Japan, I mean, have you seen their dl and upload? Frickin crazy.

they have live streams in melee tournaments...
though, that doesn't involve online play so that might affect the ability to stream effectively.
Someone could record it though, and upload it to youtube.

And yes, if I manage to get it to work, it'll be recorded and I can upload

I think the good old video camera is the best way of doing it.

I've tried recording with a straight-up video camera, but it doesn't look good (black strip of death) with my SDTV. It looks fine on my HDTV, but I prefer playing on the SD one. I could try it out, though.

Well I use my HDTV, so I should be able to record once I can connect my video camera to my computer, need some port or something, I may give this a go this weekend and post the finished video.

Will do, when I get round to it, I was going to do it when mentioned but then I thought things are gonna get technical editing etc. So when I'm bored I will film a short film and try editing it uploading it etc, when I have done that I will film lotr battles. Don't hold your breath though lol.

How would you video it? You'd have to watch the whole thing through one player's perspective wouldn't you? Not that that's bad... unless you can somehow intentionally get the infinite-countdown spawn glitch and watch the whole game through various players' views.

One player's perspective is better than no player's perspective. Of course if multiple people can record that's even better, but one would be accomplishment enough.
