Last clan battle had 5 ++ mages on the other team. So annoying and creates massive lag and diconnection issues. Not to mention you start questioning the skill levels when everyone is a mage with sheilds that can heal each other and spam firewalls and lightning. I would love to have a clan battle with each team limited to only 1 mage. This would actually require a team to think strategically and work together. Most of us play more than one class and it would make it fun instead of a pain in the ass.

Another idea is also just to make every clan have to use 2 of each class. That way it involves skill and strategy to win.

Mages are part of the game. I don't see anybody complaining about some archer able to kill someone from the other side of the map with one freaking arrow mind you. Or a scout that nobody can relatively see backstab people from behind.

^^ mages aren't cheap, but clan battles versus an entire mage team is a load of bullshit

I agree that clan battles versus an entire team of mages is not good. That won't be the case with my team. With 4 mages and the rest diversified, I see that as fair.

I don't want to speak prematurely, but I honestly think that with proper teamwork a clan mages shouldn't be a big problem.

It's wasn't our teamwork with irule, it was bad lag. 8 mages all throwing firewalls causes to much lag

that's why I'm saying we should be having the matches in EA servers so there's minimal lag.

i think that mages are ok to go against, i see bm's point because we always have 8v8s no less. no disconnections or intruders.

I am not worried, my best is a mage.... I like killing mages more than fighting archers...
The win only matters on the stage and the spawn of the team.
Mage spam in osg is horrid. Because they normally camp on the bridge.

I hate mage parties... I can never see what the eff I am doing with all the damn firewalls. For the clan battle I tried using scout, Ha I shoulda know better, My life span was 1.2 seconds EFFING FIRE EVERYWHERE!!!! So I had to whip out with a mage just so I could fight fire with fire...Grrr...Maybe if the mages would spread out, It wouldn't be so bad...

Unholy mage spam, There's a solution in htdm, if one finds a gaggle of gandies simply send for wormtongue and his suicide belt after his deed's done, said mages health & shields down , let rip a shit storm of arrows.
"Can you hear that Randy? ... the shit hawks are flying".
Thanks to officer Jim Lahey and cainreaker for that advice.

Your right, in HTDM the gandalfs travel in packs and Grima is the perfect way to break this up. I believe Grima is the great equalizer in HTDM for this very reason. The tighter their pack is, the worse it can turn out for them because even if their life is full, the time bomb will put gandalfs life at just a sliver and a well aimed satchel bomb should finish the job but if not, archers can take them down easily at that point.
