Since a bunch of people have made requests, here it is:
I attended every day of WorldCon except for Monday (I was working). I enjoyed the convention a lot. I attended many interesting panels and pretty much every Neil Gaiman apparition.
I found the event very stimulating intellectually. It was nice to discuss things with intelligent articulate people.
2 of the panels I attended had one of the writers for Dr. Who (one on Fringe and one on Dr. Who). Those 2 panels were very cool and interesting.
I found Neil Gaiman to be very charming and interesting. He is a very good storyteller and you see that he likes to tell stories. Any random event in his life turns into an interesting anecdote. He is very witty and funny. He was doing a signing session on Monday and a friend was nice enough to go for me. I got him to sign 2 Sandman books.
The dealer's room was rather small with a lot of signed books for sale and some cool t-shirt sellers. There was also a small art show with some interesting stuff.
I got to try a new boardgame in the gaming room. It is a cool little coop game called Space Alert. You play one of the crew of a spaceship that goes to scan a dangerous area of space for 10 minutes and tries to come back alive.
The main issue I had is that a few of the panels (some about manga and some about anime) were very boring because the people who were put on the panel did not know enough about the subject. It was unfortunate but with so many events running all over, it was easy to simply walk out and go to other events.
I attended part of the Masquerade and saw some pretty cool costumes including a very funny Klingon Batman.
If ever WorldCon stops by your town, I suggest you make every effort to attend. It was a great 4 days and a once in a lifetime event (unless you're a very successful sci-fi or fantasy author).
