Just in case you guys didn't know, the demo for this is up at the PSN Store.
Let me tell ya', I'm a big comic book/superhero guy, but I've never been a big Batman fan. The character himself just doesn't do anything for me. That said, I like some of his villains, and can still enjoy a good Batman story.
This game looks like it's going to be pretty amazing regardless. The demo, though pretty short and really only offers a couple of rooms to mess around with, was a lot of fun. A lot of sneaking around and strategizing how to silently take out a room full of armed grunts one man at a time and slipping back into the shadows. Gives me a Metal Gear vibe, but with a lot more options for ways to sneak and escape with all the tools in that famous utility belt, and of course a lot more focus on hand to hand combat ( though that part is pretty simplistic, there's really only an attack and dodge button, but there's cool combos and counters to open up ).
Definately check it out if you're even remotely interested in comics or stealth games.

the demo is kind of like the watchmen demo or wolverine demo. it gives you a taste of the game but ends before a big fight.
the demo is good but i dont know yet whether to get the game.

I loved playing the Tenchu series and the Hitman series because you could play those games 100 times and never play the same way twice. Arkham looks like it has that open ended approach to taking out goons and Batman is the perfect character for such activities. It's also worth noting that PS3 users get to play as The Joker in a side game. ;D

I heard the last few attempts at making batman games didn't turn out all that well, so I hope this one doesn't follow that trend.
Otherwise, batman is probably one of my favorite heroes, though tbh I don't really read comics much. I definitely will try out the demo when I get back to my ps3, but even if I like it I'll probably wait a while after it's released to see how it's recieved before I decide to buy it or not.

If the final product is anything like the demo then count on me buying it. To begin with , the selling point for me was Paul Dini being the writer. He wrote most of Batman the animated series,superman the animated series,batman beyond and justice league and unlimited. Also, another huge selling point is having most of the original voice cast return to their respective roles. Especially Mark Hamill As 'Joker' and Kevin Conroy as 'Batman/Bruce Wayne'. Epic ;

I gotta' say...the demo for this game is pretty amazing. I was thorougly impressed after playing it. I'm not a big Batman fan, but this game just might be worth the price of admission.

I liked the demo, but the simplistic combat didn't impress me. the automated combos and slow-mo makes up a large margin of it, but still left me wanting more intricate controls.
the strategy aspect is really enjoyable and entirely redeeming, though.

Keep in mind Ouphe that the demo represents the very least the game has to offer. The full games combo system is upgradable and gets much more intricate than what you experience in the demo. Anyway it's not entirely about the ass kicking as there are many ways to eliminate a room full of people without being seen.

Man this game is the best thing since chocolate and peanut butter! It's exactly what I was hoping it to be and the Joker bonus game is a blast The only thing that could possibly be more awesome is a ninja werewolf ;D
