I'd like to try kendo too. There are a couple of places here in Montreal but I don't like their schedules at all.
I also want to try Tai Chi. I tried the Taoist version and it is pretty cool. It's more difficult than it looks and is good for posture and your balance. I will probably start the martial art in the fall or winter. There are 2 schools here that seem to be good. I'll go and sit on a class at each place and see which one I prefer.

My main sport will always be hockey. I've been skating since I was three years old and playing since I was four. I still play a ton of Pond/Street/Beer League whenever I can. Unfortunately, I mostly played goalie throughout most of my "career," so I usually get stuck in that posistion, despite the fact it's boring as hell in pickup games. I'm one of the most hardcore, life-long, die hard Boston Bruins fans you'll ever find.
I'm also big on football, being a fan of the dastardly New England Patriots. Pretty excited for the return of the king this year. I also play a little bit, locally we put together a little 8 game season, where I'm a RB.
Other than that I'll casually watch a little baseball ( it's hard to give a shit when you're surrounded by pink hat fake fans here in Boston ), UFC, and play some golf in the summer.

Ah make sure you ALWAYS wear a cup. One of my friends that I used to play with forgot and got hit in the balls by a slapshot. He cant have kids now, seriously he can't. Ive always wore a cup since then as I want to keep my stuff intact...

Ya toriel, I live in LA, and I don't really have the time for kendo, with my martial arts being 3 days of the week + school + relaxation. I don't really have time for it. But, I plan on going to Japan for college, so maybe then if i have free time. BTW, send me a freind request. PSN in my sig. Also, Tai Chi is good. I've prefered chinese sword/spear fighting over Tai Chi though. You should buy a wooden katana if you plan on kendo. You may also need some targets and punching bags.

^^ Lol Willf, Shouldn't you have been wearing a cup anyways? Yea but its uncomfortable and I dont wear all the pads when I play a pick up game. Plus when you get hit in the cup by a puck you can still feel it and it hurts, trust me...

When I'm in net on the ice, I'm always wearing full pads, and that means my cup is bigger than yours.

My first love is football (soccer). Absolute footy fanatic I am. Don't follow baseball, basketball, hockey or nfl as much but I'm informed on the players and I'll root for my teams in those sports but mostly just watch the playoffs when they come around.

I played goalie today which I didnt expect to since im not really the best goalie. Well it turns out the one time you dont wear a cup you get hit there. WTF is up with that... I think I can still have kids though... I hope

I love Wake boarding!!! I don't do flips yet lol, but its my biggest passion even before lotr! I admire the female wakeboarders out there and loved this DVD www.thechickflick.com/index.asp Yesterday I was coming back from the coast and near San Franscisco we stopped at a beach where they were windsurfing on the ocean! It looked so awesome! I can't wait to try it! Has anyone else done this?
