Wazzup Guys, I just did a bit more research about this game (coming out for the Xbox, PS3, and PC): twoworldsvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Editorials.Detail&id=63A big criticism about the first Two Worlds was online lag, due to peer-to-peer hosting. According to the article, this has been addressed and they'll now have dedicated servers for this sequel. Two features about this game really stood out to me: - PVP!!! It has 8 online max, also includes co-op PvE, and another mode. - Combat - There are multiple classes; and, you can even choose gender, and between two races. Here's a full list of the classes: www.insidetwoworlds.com/index.php?page=article&id=26613-Warrior -Sword Dancer -Knight -Ranger -Thief -Archer -Barbarian -Air Mage -Fire Mage -Water Mage -Earth Mage -Necromancer What's really unique though, is that you can switch to another class on the fly, by switching gears. So this should keep combat really interesting, tactical, and fun. The release date is Oct 5th. Here are two vids that contain some cinematics and gameplay: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENIAAJu8SgUwww.youtube.com/watch?v=YPc323rcuSA&feature=fvw

Oops, about the second link that goes into detail about races and classes, I think that was actually for Two Worlds one. Here's a different source that goes into the class system: "You won’t find rigid character classes like “Barbarian” or “Thief.” Instead, you’ll build a custom class by assigning skill points across a wide range of talents: assassination, melee combat, trade, lockpicking, and magic to name just a few. Want to combine the spell-casting acumen of a Wizard with the brute melee force of a Warrior? No problem: just assign your skill and stat points accordingly. You use the directional pad to swap quickly between your gear loadouts, so you could soften up an enemy with magic while wearing your spell-boosting equipment, then instantly swap to your heavy armor and axe to dash in and finish the job.
Magic spells are similarly dynamic and customizable (are you sensing a theme here?). Rather than find and assign a typical “Fireball” spell, for example, you can mix and match various magic traits (in the form of cards) to achieve a witches’ brew of effects. In my demonstration, I saw the player combine a fire card, a multi-shot card, a heat-seeking card, a summon card, and a reflection card to create a wicked spell that flung bouncing, splitting, heat-seeking, flaming projectiles that spawned demonic enemies on impact. Not bad, eh? Two Worlds II will contain a vast number of spell combinations – I overheard “10 to the 16th power” And here's more info about the online modes: "The online mode is expansive, with eight-player PvP duels (ranging from 4v4 to free for all bloodbaths), a separate co-op campaign that supports eight players as well as a unique quest and environments, and a “Village” mode where you can grow and evolve your own fantasy-RPG city. In the Village mode, you’ll be able to invite your PSN friends to visit your town and share their specific talents with your townspeople, be it leather crafting or weaponsmithing. Guild support for online play is also a go."blog.us.playstation.com/2010/07/09/e3-encounters-two-worlds-ii-for-ps3/I'm excited too Merlin. I went ahead and preordered this from Amazon today ;D

HELLZYA!!! Finally a game with swords and magic and I can customize my character! And it has multiplayer online for 8 people! It makes my D&D heart sing! I am soooooo tired of FPS games. Uncharted 2 has been my post Conquest game of choice these last few months. It is fun when playing with a bunch of LOTR friends but all the camping boy scouts does tend to suck the joy out of it. I've tried being a robot in Transformers and a gunslinger in Red Dead Redemption. I have even signed up for duty in Modern Warfare 2 & Battlefield 2 in an attempt to keep playing with my online friends that I have made in LOTR. There is just something about having a sword in your hand (and no euphemisms please =P) doing battle against skill and strategy that hasn't been present in a lot of video games. Give me Fantasy with magic and elves any day over a battle in Afghanistan or Gap tooth Ridge. I can't wait till this game comes out, in fact I think I'll preorder it today.

You will see me for sure. I really only play mw2 cause of the online friends, i suck at it and i hate all that campers, gunships, planes, helicopters, fucking harriers and all that shit! lol Without time, a game without guns and, as red said with swords. "There is just something about having a sword in your hand (and no euphemisms please =P) doing battle against skill and strategy that hasn't been present in a lot of video games." - i agree. Until there i guess i´ll move to transformers and lotrc online on the pc, who knows... Nice to see you Ainara

I don't like role playing games (RPG) so i wont be getting this. If so, you could always skip the story / campaign, and jump straight into the multi-player online PvP mode; although, I believe this may still have some rpg elements since you may still need to build, level, and customize your character.
