I just saw that the MMO: Lord of the Rings Online will be free starting this fall. They're doing a Beta right now for it. I will certainly look into it. www.lotro.com

I actually played this for a while for a college course. I stopped playing because I didn't want to pay for it, but if it becomes free I would play it again we get a group going.

Is it any good? I might play if a few other people want to. I need something to tide me over until Guild Wars 2

I'm pretty sure I will play it but not intensively like some people do. It will be something I do when I don't feel like playing on my PS3. I do tend to play more when something is new though.

Downloaded it yesterday but didn't play. Talk about a huge download. 7089Mb!!!! Took about 2 hours and that's just the regular version. The high res one must take forever. Can't wait to try it.

To my mind it's a bad conversion of WoW: graphism of shit and screenplay for baby. But for fans of MMO maybe it is great

I need to stack up on pc games for uni so count me in, but like others I probably won't play it much. If people play togeather on here level diffrence may be a problem. With my little experince of mmo's usualy I see that one dungeon will be boringly easy for one person but super dangerous for another.

If it's anything like WoW count me out. Not gonna touch that, ever.

lol, forgot about this. Yeah, as always there's no such thing as a free lunch. I can't even play the missions from where I left off without paying to unlock them. So fuck that.

I started playing last weekend and I just love it!!! It is very faithful to the books and has a ton of little winks and easter eggs to find. I did not have to pay anything to start play and have done lots of quests already. By doing Deeds, you get Turbine Points that let you buy stuff from the store for free. By waiting for sales (they did a 24 hours one for quests at 75% off) you can easily unlock stuff for free.
