BM's download link didn't work fully for me, and I'm not sure whether the problem is in my computer or the ISO I downloaded. Both my laptop and main computer didn't meet the "requirements" to play (fucking integrated video cards), so BM suggested that as the reason why it wasn't working. However, the error was different on both computers. For my computer, the screen goes black, then pops back to the desktop and a window pops up saying "The game has stopped working". For my laptop, it immediately tells me that I'm missing a file and to reinstall. I did, but it still didn't work.
So, if you got the game from BM's link, have you had any of these issues? If so, how did you fix them?
If you got it from another source, can you link it for me? I want to try out different sources to see if it's actually my computer or if I just did something wrong.

What operating system do you have on the computer that has the black screen and then 'the game has stopped working message'? If you are using vista or Win 7 then try running the program as an administrator. The same error happens for me on Windows 7 if I dont run as an administrator.

I used the megaupload links. I also mounted the image to a virtual drive (I didn't burn it to a dvd). I don't know if that's the difference or not. It shouldn't be.
In any case, if it doesn't work for you I suggest googling something like "lord of the rings conquest megaupload" or the like and you'll get results.

It's quite graphics-heavy. If your card doesn't have a large heat sink and fan, you're definitely out of luck. I'm (barely) getting away with a 2.2GHz single-core processor and an nvidia 7800 graphics card. It can't run singleplayer but multiplayer seems to work just fine so far. When I start up the game it often freezes on the menus and I have to minimize it and maximize again. In other words, I wouldn't try to run it on anything less than what I just mentioned. |

Your lucky to be running the game on such a single core processor. I Used to on my old computer and it lagged massivly in offline play.

My only reservation is that I can run other PC games like Portal, Team Fortress 2, and Guild Wars passably on both computers. Yea the min requirements are pretty high, which I believe are higher than the games you listed (info from direct2drive): - Processor: 2.4ghz Core Duo Processor or equivalent - Memory: 1 GB Ram - Hard Drive: 6.0GB - Video Card: A 256mb Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 3.0 Nvidia 7800 or equivalent (AGP/PCIe Only) Nex mentioned he had a similar problem as well, that he couldn't get it to start either due to his system not meeting (or near) the minimum requirements. If you want to do a little upgrading, you can find parts at a good price at newegg.com. |

my processor is 2200ghz and 2gb ram enuth space on harddrive but dont firt the video card req think i can play? ive got conquest downloading right now
