(underlined parts are the most important)
i was going over the terms of service for E.A games and unfortunatly it said
"7. Paid Services
Some EA Services require payment of a fee. You must have an Account and pay the subscription or other fees to participate in these activities. For information about subscription and other fees for particular services visit support.ea.com.
FEES ARE PAYABLE IN ADVANCE AND ARE NOT REFUNDABLE IN WHOLE OR IN PART."
although it also in the end speaks of
"EA ONLINE SERVICE FOR THE PlayStation(R)3 COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
The PlayStation(R)Network Terms of Service continue to apply in their entirety and govern your conduct while accessing EA Services through the PlayStation(R)Network. Any conflict between the EA Terms of Service and the PSN Terms of Service and User Agreement shall be resolved in favor of the PSN Terms of Service and User Agreement."
going further into PSN's Terms of services
"14. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Other than as set out in these Conditions, we give no warranty about the quality, functionality, availability, completeness, accuracy or performance of PSN or any content and services available via PSN. We do not guarantee PSN will always be available or error free and we assume no liability for your inability to purchase or use any content, goods or services. We exclude all liability for loss of data or unauthorised access to data and for damage caused to your software or hardware as a result of using or accessing PSN. You are responsible for your Internet Service Provider fees and any other fees related to your use of PSN, including any increase in such fees resulting from your use of PSN.
If we are liable to you for failure to deliver content or services, our liability is limited either to re-providing the relevant content or service or (at our option) refunding the amount you paid for the content or service to your PSN wallet.
Our liability in any other circumstances is limited to £25 (or equivalent in local currency) or, if higher, the amount of unused funds in your PSN wallet.
These Conditions set out your sole and exclusive rights in connection with PSN. These Conditions and the above limitations, exclusions and disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. However you may have other legal rights as a consumer which are not affected by these Conditions.
so looking at these sections of the terms of use is it possible to try and attempt to get PSN to refund the people who paid for DLC content since the service is no longer usable through internet means. since its stated in E.A terms of use says, that it cannot be refunded but will change its terms of use to suit playstation networks maybe its possible
(discussion) if you guys may and please keep the drama out it took me a while to read the terms of service and i want to make sure that the people who paid for the DLC server use can maybe get their money back.
(large problem though you can use the dlc in single player instant action but you could argue that the service isnt fully provided)
also for all E.A trophy supported games id like to propose to E.A to make an update for their games so people are able to aquire the ranked online trophies available offline (most people already have 100% in lotr but for other games it could be a different case)
