I had noticed that, but I figured they directed me there because Conquest is being handled the same way.

I had noticed that, but I figured they directed me there because Conquest is being handled the same way. What was your original email to them? If there was a recent unannounced change to their policy, this could be really promising. Basically, that policy states that if within an eight hour time period, if nobody joins or plays in a server they'll close it.

Copies of the two emails I sent to them: Good afternoon, I'm writing about the impending closure of the Lord of the Rings: Conquest multiplayer servers. I had read recently about Def Jam Icon being held from closure because the game was 'too new.' At less than fourteen months, I think Conquest should fit that bill. What I suggAest is cutting the number of multiplayer servers. Cut them drastically. There is only a small community of players, but they are dedicated. Also, I've included a copy of the previous email I had sent regarding this- -- To whom it may concern: I am a member of the Lord of the Rings: Conquest community and, as I'm sure you've already guessed, I am opposed to your plan to shut down the servers. I haven't got much to say on the subject, except to provide a few links that I hope may influence your decision(this is, of course, assuming the decision can be influenced, and that the person receiving this letter can in any way help our community). www.petitiononline.com/conquest/petition.htmlThis is an online petition we've started to save the servers. As of this morning there were over 400 signatures. forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/407387.pageThis is a thread on the forums where several members of the community provide alternative solutions and propositions regarding the server issue. Thanks for your attention. Respectfully, Ryan Hernandez P.S. One of the major points I was seeing for keeping the servers up is that the film adaptation of The Hobbit will be released soon, and as is always the case, interest in the whole series will be renewed, and many new players will be drawn in by the large multiplayer battles. -R.H. ###### Lately I've been wondering if it wasn't just an automated form letter, but I selected the options to direct the query to LotR:C.
