yeah, most of the players in the server suck.
You'll fail hard if you try that shit in a clan match with good people.

I wouldn't pick a mage against an elite player period as it's not my class of choice

which doesn't make me any less right. i never said jump canceling isn't a good tactic if your soul purpose in playing is to win, which trust I very much now that's what you're all about. I'm just saying what i've always said, I'm pretty sure it was never intended by the developers and looks stupid. Plus against your average, warrior, archer etc it really isn't necessary. what's even worse is the mages that jump around while never even in combat, i mean really?

Plus against your average, warrior, archer etc it really isn't necessary. what's even worse is the mages that jump around while never even in combat, i mean really? I'm curious why you think you can't play to win and have fun? I see that you have a lot of trophies Hanz. I'm sure you have fun trying to achieve those trophies; likewise, a person can still have fun while achieving other goals. Like BM when he started, I too was a point whore. I was overly concerned with points, stats, and the leaderboards, similar to how some are only concerned about trophies. So to prevent this, I made my primary focus to win. What's great about playing to win, is that it encompasses several other goals. For instance, you have to improve yourself and get better. To me, learning new things and challenging myself is fun versus stagnation. By playing to win, this had also allowed me to be a good team player. Since I no longer cared too much about points or the leaderboards, this allowed me to put my teammates first. When I had played for points / stats, to me I found that my play-style and decisions in battle were significantly different and many times quite selfish. Since motivations, goals, and emotions (e.g. like joy / "fun") are so interrelated; in many cases, I don't think we can merely state a person plays solely for one reason. Also I think you have to take into account the environment or game. For example, in a single player player game, I tend to focus more on enjoying the journey versus beating or winning the game. Also by the way in a competitive / PVP online multiplayer game, I currently find making continual incremental or small improvements a better and higher goal than winning (although to me this is still important). I find that I'm more relaxed since I'm not overly concerned about the outcome of a battle. Also by focusing on improvements, regardless of a win or loss, a person can still continually learn and improve, which again to me can be quite fun and enjoyable. By the way, since everyone here is different and unique and will have their own goals and motivations, I'm certainly not saying that I have the right outlook and everyone should adopt this same view. However for me, this is currently the perspective that's right for me.
