I thought I would throw a wild card into the air, warhawk!!.
First of all this game is not air vehicles blasting each other, well it is but most of the fighting (in the demo at least) happens on ground level.
The reason I bring this game up is because its third person and is actually alot of fun, Its game I would of thought people who enjoy lotr would enjoy. It does have alot of negatives like bad controls. graphics etc, but this did not stop us playing LOTRC, it's well worth trying the demo and the game is recently gone down to only £15 (or dollars I forget which) in the psn store.
So do give it a go I think you will be pleasantly surprised, although I think this is more for uncompetitive lotrc players, however it may appeal to completive ones as well there is alot of variation to carry out your objectives. I think it holds 32 people.

I have it and all the booster packs. Used to play it nonstop. It was good, but I played it so much I got bored. I'll play it occasionally if you guys want, but I'd rather play mag.

Last time I played, I got the most beautiful sniper kill. I was in archipelago, and a guy was walking to the center base. He goes into the trees, and all I see was his name. I shoot, and it kills.
