I think they should just heal fully in one pulse, not in 3 or so puleses, very aggravating.

well damage is taken in steps also, just as you run through the fire it isnt steady. as cheap as i believe the mage is, i say that he should stay the way he is because its not like you only have one life, you can keep trying to kill that person.(which is a dumb decision for tdm)

So does dieing. But mage healing does get annoying especially if your playing as a warrior and your working over a mage. They just keep getting back up, and healing themselves. Until a well timed axe to the head that is! ;D

I think mages should get points for healing others....
that would change the way some people play

Yea there are a few mage players who are for all practical purposes invincible because they know the timing and cycle of the heal and are able to do it between frames of the animations. It doesn't matter how much damage you do to them in one shot because their heal will cancel out everything you do over and over and over. These guys are frankly, just no fun to play with. I just end up saying ugh what a wuss. It's hard to believe Pandemic allowed such obvious unbalance in the mage class. We just need more players with more balls.

I think mages should get points for healing others.... that would change the way some people play I think that would be a little unfair and would promote abuse by point farmers. Unfair in that other classes would also have to have a way to score individual points. Otherwise, I guess that would be OK. It would at least give selfish Mages incentive to heal their teammates.

I'm trying to learn archer...but will never be as good as I am a mage...so why bother? No one complains about my mages balls when my score helps my team win ;0)

It seems that some people forget that mages are very good at suicide runs to unclog 12 mages shielding & healing each other. I find that they're the best ones to achieve that so that their teammates can then kill them off.

You have the ability to heal...but it only takes like 3 hits to be killed. I always thought it balanced out.
I tell ya'...I got total respect for archers that can move and hit someone all at the same time. It's tough. I'm trying. Burnzilla......you've gotten good. I've seen you working on it also.

Good points Toriel and ROK. Both of you guys haven demonstrated the heroic traits of mages above and beyond the call of duty. I will try to keep you guys in mind the next time before I go off on a (possibly unfair) rant about mages. Truth of the matter is, I have been picking up mage a lot more myself lately just for a change of scenery. It's frustrating to me because I feel like anything kills me instantly regardless of my heal. Every other mage seems to be able to chain heal but I have to wait like 10 seconds. My groundslams have no effect on even the nearest opponent and my lightning seems to do less damage on others than theirs does to me. I'm astonished at how fast a firewall can kill me yet everyone just leisurely tiptoes in my firewall. I guess thats what it feels like to suck at mage. You should try to do one on one's with you know BM or whatever other good PS3 mages you have. I must say that is how you grow the fastest in a class by playing against the best. (and hopefully they teach you some tricks.)
