To celebrate my time in Middle Earth battling away with and against you all I am getting a tattoo inspired by the great man himself Tolkien, the 'God' of our little world here. The actors from the Fellowship all got the same tattoo when filming ended form the Lord of the Rings movies to honour the friendships that were forged. I was thinking that hmmm hey why not us?
Now of course I'm not advocating everyone rushing out and getting a tattoo. They are not for everyone. You have to be at least over the age of 18. They are for the most part permanent (laser removal is painful & expensive), you have to consider if you really want this on your body when you'll be some 80 year old grandparent. Future jobs could be in jeopardy if your tattoo is visible. All things have to be considered if you get a tattoo.
I made my tattoo appointment before the news of EA shutting down the servers on March 16. My appointment is a week later on the 23, and instead of finishing my Celtic Dragon & Hound half sleeve I am getting my Tolkien Inspired tattoo (psst vote for your favourite in the Vote for my New Tattoo in General Discussion) as a way to honour the passing of a great game that I have loved playing, and to my friends that I made because of it.
