I love epic backstabs ( the enemy character is running and your catch them into a backstab. The other person is probably thinking wtf) my fav map for this is CTR minas morgul

I dont get 1 vs 1 challenges, they really dont prove anything, and have little to do with what would happen in a real game.
In a real game, a good scout isnt as easy 2 take down 1 vs 1. Unless they stink, the battles going to happen almost on top of you. Thats assuming they missed with the backstab to begin with. If a scouts plays it right, and attacks you off guard(as he should)hes a threat to any class.
Warrior is a easy win for a scout...all his attacks are delayed after the moves. If you know those moves a scout is almost automatic.

I agree, they don't prove anything for a scout. They do for every other class, with the only debatable one being archer vs archer, but archer vs warrior and mage do.

the hardest attack to land for a scout is the rising kick he does (similiar to the warriors shoulder bash) ive only gotten it to work maybe 3 times (2 times when the person was getting up from a bomb attack and one time came out as a mistake when i tried to do the jump dive kick and forgot to jump xD

i dont like seeing people with 0 deaths. In game usually ill go after people who do have 8-0 every 2-4 min I go into huge map and check or when i die while waiting for r/s ill do the same. Even if its one death its still not a perfect game.

that's rather petty and mean spirited, lol
it's like, "I can't stand to see other people happy so I take great satisfaction when I can ruin things for them."

I find that the warrior class is easiest to kill when they swing their sword they pause perfect time to backstab them and archers are annoying with their poison arrow and multi shot

OUPHE SAID: scout melee exists. I prefer it degrees above backstabbing. I don't play TDM, only conquest, so often I'm 1v1 or only in proximity of 1-2 other enemies and can afford initiating melee without having to worry about n other opponents.
running away, or "cowardice," is not the only option. I don't run away unless 1. I'm critical, 2. I'm completely outnumbered and don't feel like a suicidal-assassination, or 3. other teammates have shown up and can exterminate enemies much more efficiently than I can (in which case I'll move on to capture another point).
scouts can beat a mage or archer 1v1 quite easily if actions are executed correctly. the central thing is to get them belly-up, typically by bomb-to-face, then to use heavy attacks while they're immobile. mages and archers are usually dead after a string of two heavy attacks as long as they're kept paralyzed. warriors are more difficult, but still not impossible. and this is if the health gauge is full. if not, melee is even more effective.
I used to play scout as a patience-class, then discovered that it's much more powerful as an aggressor. the point should be to take the backstab if it's (readily) available, but to resort to other means if not instead of just running away.[/quote]
Ouphe got it dead on with this one.
I don't run unless I have low health, or if i see a better opportunity for me to do something elsewhere in the battle.
Scouts are not as aggressive as warriors, but we can hit it hard and heavy when the situation presents itself.
One of the only times I find myself playing it ultra-patient is when I'm targeting a hero for assassination. Other than that, moving slow is just plain bad for a scout.
1 v 1 proves nothing. The game was not made for dueling. It was made for a battle, and a battle is the scout's playground.

that's rather petty and mean spirited, lol it's like, "I can't stand to see other people happy so I take great satisfaction when I can ruin things for them." lol but thats life 0 kills tell you that this person is they aren't a named character are KSing alto and if they are named id like to see if they can stop me from killing them. I don't mind seeing other people happy with them not dying once throughout a match but i like to make em work for that (you feel much more satisfied when you do something difficult and succeed than just doing something) my favorite thing to do though is push hero's of the isengard map with r1+O even though its messed up. scenario Gandalf: Omg a scout must fire wall Fire wall connects Gandalf: ha ima shoot lightning scout rolls and vanishes out of gandalfs ranged shock wave Gandalf: then ill kill you with my infinitely ranged ground pound misses Gandalf: o.o miss omfg he will BS me must jump around to live scout uncloaks right next to gandalf stuns with melee and pushes him of with satchel fist on the way down Gandalf: NOOOOOO effffing scout
