I"ve been on a bit of a cold streak, a disappointing game for me yesterday, and then today I played the demo with a friend (trying to convince him to get the game) and well I struggled as well, and the mages weren't even jumping.

Everyone goes through periods of poor play. It's the natural learning curve... you have to take step back before you can take a few steps forward. Whenever you learn new tactics or change your style, it takes time for it to change from being theoretical to being natural. Takes me a week to learn any new tricks (but maybe that's just because I'm not a teenager anymore). There are also times when I try out BAD tactics for a week or two before going back to playing sensibly. And of course, if you haven't been practicing, it takes a little time to remember your moves.

jenaez bumped will9113! Then I had a failed attempt for jenaez's spot (5-10) and for da_king's spot (8-10, even though I had a 6-3 start!). Fought Vhoscythe (Yin-Void) for fun too... we went neck & neck up to 6-6, then he got warmed up a bit and put me down something like 14-8! Me vs. Vho were some of the most fun fights I've ever had (and fun to watch too, according to BURNZILLA).
I know, I know, I better fight my challenges from yash and H3nry quickly before I get dropped from the board! That would be tragic.

Anybody else for getting rid of the rule about subtracting a kill if you fall off? On Osgiliath, for example, it just encourages people to try and fling each other over the edge intentionally which is not what our warrior 1v1s are supposed to be about! Or maybe BOTH should get -1 to discourage taking advantage of falls at all.

xi Uk H3nry ix has challenged me and triumphed! It started off with him in the lead, 6-3. Then I slowly pulled it back to tie us 8-8. One more kill put H3nry in sudden death, but he killed me next round to tie it 9-9, sword's edge. Could have gone either way but he put me down with a good, solid kill for the win. So many close fights and some real surprises. It was a fun match! Glad to see ya finally take your rightful spot, H3nry!

I definitly need to get higher up in the leaderboards. I'm definitly going to challenge for Tiberon's title, he seems to be the only one that i can beat lately, and that was only like once out of three matches. (my losing streaks to burzum and ronjons needs to be ended though as well)

Sorry burzum. Mag is distracting. I need to keep up with joppi. When they're not on, sure, why not? Anyways, I have stuff to do this weekend, but we'll see.

Simple observation: When you fight a match cold, you lose. A couple of warm-up rounds never hurt before an official match.

Do you guys think we should have a Hero warrior leaderboard, too? We would need a couple rule modifications: The defender gets to pick the map (so he gets his hero of choice), and the match takes place in two halves, each "first to 5 kills" where you have to swap heroes for the 2nd half. Tiebreaker is a single fight with standard (non-hero) warriors. What do you think? Any Xbox volunteers to put such a leaderboard in their bio? ronjons? My bio's already full up with the regular warrior leaderboard.
