I know this will probably sound lame but I was wondering if someone could explain to me how to chat while playing. At the moment, I can only chat and send messages by quitting games. I would like to have the opportunity of telling others which room I am in for example without having to quit the game. Thanks for the info

While playing, hit the PS3 button and it will bring you to the main PS3 screen. Then scroll to the right to the chat icon and enter the room. There is a delay with the system of a few seconds to complete each switch. There is another thread I started that may help give more info about chatting. Hope this helps!

yeah, just tap the PS button, don't hold it, and it will superimpose the main screen over the game screen. Then just tap the ps button when you want to go back to the game screen.

The thing about chat rooms that I don't like is my radar keeps being obscured by the new message notice. :\

It also introduces a new level of player etiquette to the mix. Do you kill someone standing still when you know they are typing? I say yes, they should wait till they die to message. You wouldn't stop to use your cell phone if ninjas came to your home to attack you, unless you are BURNZILLA and can multi-task like that (happens a lot BTW). When in battle the game should be the focus and comments should be withheld till a death occurs. Or stop n chat, and suffer the consequences, I say.

HaHaHa Burnz.. I do the same, I kill an enemy if they are standing still... I tend to wait until I die to reply to messages, or I go and find a hiding place...lol I HATE that damn radar, It messes with my scouts sneak attacks. Grrrrr....

I agree. If you are on the other team....you're a target. I rarely make an exception.

I have to periodically exit a chat because I'm so reliant on radar D: it seems like poor planning to have it there in the first place. you can turn the notices off, but that seems equally inconvenient :/

How about the "chatty cathy's" that decide to be talkative and type throughout the game....lol.
Save it for the break ;0)

I have learned my lesson to kill the person messaging. If you don't kill them as soon as you turn around their done messaging and they kill you. As for the ear piece I have one but I don't like to us a lot.

Thanks everyone!
I certainly do not stop myself from getting free kills. If they can't wait until they're dead or between levels, too bad for them.
I will probably try to get a keyboard and a headset soon (maybe for my birthday in the fall)

lol, joppi makes a point of abandoning whoever he was targeting and going after someone if they're just standing there.
