Its understandable that you would upgrade your computer for just one game. Bad luck though that your computer can't play the game.

well, I got the game and set up my Tunngle account, but it runs too slow while in game - and that's offline (I haven't even tried playing online yet). so, it appears that I need a new graphics card or a new computer, and that's not happening, any time soon, just to play one game. fuckin' EA... Have you tried turn resoloution down through games display menu? mines slow when i have it fullscreen aswell i use resoloution size - 848x480 and turn down some of the details in the menu aswell to medium, and the game should play at normal speed

The list now has over 40 players and about 20 of them are people who I see playing regularly. That is a good sign that the game still has life.

Online runs better than offline. All the AI bots make my PC struggle but online it has a lot less to deal with. I do have to have the graphics turned down on that PC which just means lots of fog and less detail. If you have a faster PC though, the graphics are really nice - especially the 60Hz refresh rate compared to the consoles (ps3 = 720p/24Hz compared to 1080p/60Hz).

The list has now been updated with the newest players I have seen playing.
If you posted that you would be playing and have decided not to please let me know so I can remove you from the list.

Looks like weekdays roughly between 1800-2300 GMT (1300-1800 EST) are gathering numbers (european players at a guess). Found games at weekends between 1500-2300 GMT (1000-1800 EST). I keep an eye this link

thanks for the suggestions.
I joined an online server today (just to test the lag & framerate) and it might be playable, but that remains to be seen.
however, I can't seem to get my controller to work. I've tried MKcontrol and MotioninJoy (using YouTube vids and tutorials) and couldn't get either one of them to work. if anyone could offer some assistance in this area, I'd appreciate it.
I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit.

For a ps3 controller, motionJoy was the only thing that worked for me. Version 0.5 gave me some problems buy 0.4 works well. Use the "Xbox 360 controller emulator" setting as the rest are crap. And turn left/right vibration motors down to 50%. There are some special instructions for installing the driver on 64-bit machines (see bottom of www.motioninjoy.com/wiki/en/install) but I'm running XP 32-bit so I didn't have to go through that. www.xinputer.com/download/MotioninJoy_040002_amd64.zip <= try this (version 0.4, 64-bit) Also bought an Xbox wireless receiver for the PC and it works beautifully with the Microsoft-provided driver.

Did you try turning the graphics and resolutions to low. I also had problems with my computer like yours then I saw angelus post and it worked, just go to options. Regarding online lag, it all depends on who is hosting we had a great host today, I think it's droider who hosted and we have 8-10 players playing at the time and it was good.
We really do need to buy a server so we can host it in that server. I'm not going to buy though I don't have any money.
