I've actually been missing conquest a lot lately after other multiplayer games I've bought just have not been as good or as fun. It sucks that EA had to do this to conquest as there is new version coming out, like all their sports games. I plan to not buy EA products anymore

lotr conquest came close to beating the record of shortest lived online game, some other game had its life last about 1 year only.

It's not a problem though if one fps shooter shuts down as you still got a billion others to play.

Unlucky for you then. There is no possible way for a ps3 and xbox return because they do not support lan. PC is the only way now.

It may be technically possible but would require users to take special steps to get it to work, and potentially violate some user license agreements in the process. This already makes it not worth the amount of work it would take for somebody to figure out HOW to do it in the first place. Even if someone did figure it out, only a few people would manage to get it working and it'd probably get shut down really fast.
