it's a sexist figure of speech. its sole purpose is degradation. lol @ this thread. Although I do have to thank everyone for rallying against bigotry, I'm sorry to say that I am not actually gay, but keep on defending people's right to be gay. I agree that if someone is gay they shouldn't be discriminated against. you're against bashing homosexuals but perpetuating sexism is okay? And I'll take that as a "no" on the voice chat. Glad you realized the stupidity of your earlier statement. stupidity? it's valid. you wouldn't say SHIT to me on mic while there. you made a little quibble in chat, 'oh and ouphe and strider too' (whatever the fuck that meant), then left. then you come here and make equally weak comments - all behind the security of your screen. no, I'm not about to voluntarily talk to you. point was we were in the same place and you kept your mouth shut.

yea you had a better k to d then me, doesn't necessarily mean you were more effective, and most of my deaths came from shadow and jenaez killin me, not you. and i defended the base i was at against your team with you attacking many times in a row until you guys took the top base, which i wasn't at. pretty much in each game i died alot tryin to heal and help my team mates, wasn't focused on kills, it wasn't tdm. but over the whole battle you didn't kill me anymore then i did you, but yea you out played me today, good job. like i said i don't care about being the best mage anymore, haven't for a long time.

I don't view it as sexist. If you do that's too bad. Seek counseling or something.
And yeah, I have absolutely no problems saying what I think of you via mic. You can ask god_of_chaos, I told him exactly what I thought of him the other day before our 1v1 (he was on my team while waiting for me to finish 1v1ing jenaez). But I didn't know you wanted to chat after the match, you should have messaged me.

Although I gotta say that moment in the mount doom ctr match when you and me just ran into each other in the room where the ring spawns, that shit was just surreal. Everyone else was fighting in the other hall, and we had a completely uninterrupted 1v1.

see now, if you stated things the way you did the 1v1 in mount doom, i would never say anything smart. yes that was cool that it happened, i think it was the only time it did.

Yeah, when I won I was just like, sweet, I hope that's symbolic of the way the match will go. And it was. So cool.
But yeah, something like that is so rare because people play together on both of our teams so no one is hardly ever alone.

lol the only peopl who really had good scores was the archers and stationary players. also asides from the late start, the match was very organized ya wen i played archer i was like 2nd in kills, but wen i went to mage, i culdnt do anything, except defend, protect, and die.

I'm going to try to get the videos up over the weekend, but it might take me longer. There is a lot of video here and it's going to take a while to get all on Youtube, on top of any editing I do. if you want the videos to play 720p on youtube then convert video size to 1280x720 then upload to youtube and you will be able to watch in 720p

'Every single person that has ever been very good at anything has a big ass ego when it comes to whatever it is they're good at. There's not a one that doesn't develop an ego. Micheal Jordan. HUUUGE ego. LeBron James? Gigantic ego. Kobe? You know it. There's not one person on these boards that thinks they are above average that doesn't have an ego."
There is nothing wrong with taking pride in hard won accomplishments, or working at your craft, fine tuning your skills to reach the highest echelons of that craft. However boasting and insulting the other team is just poor sportsmanship. In an important game like the final Stanley Cup game or the Olympics hockey, after the winning team rushes down to the ice and celebrates (with the 'losing' team looking on in defeat), both teams line up face each other and shake hands and congratulates each other on a game well played (even the coaching staff and owners say our equivalent of gg). That is sportsmanship.
Broad generalizations such as 'Every single person that has ever been very good at anything has a big ass ego....' is for the most part false. Maybe your examples from the NBA, or even sports for that matter, with their insane multi-million salaries and the entitlements that go along with such fame. Wait Steve Nash is a 'great player' in the NBA and a fairly humble guy. Wayne Gretzky 'the Great One" from the NHL has always been a gracious winner and quick to praise his fellow teammates and the opposing team.
Even in LOTR there are some fine examples of the good sportsman (I'm not going to post any names, as I do not wish to start a flame war.....) that are quick to say gg to their team and the opposing team, win, lose or draw.
Yes BM you are one of the 'elites' in this game, most of us know this. You just don't have to be such an ass about it though.

Like I said, some people aren't as outwardly open about their egos, but they still have them. Steve Nash and definitely Wayne Gretzky both have egos.
And did you see jordan's hall of fame acceptance speech? He basically took that opportunity to put down a lot of people that he beat throughout his career, and while some found it distasteful, he had every right to do it.

"There is nothing wrong with taking pride in hard won accomplishments, or working at your craft, fine tuning your skills to reach the highest echelons of that craft. However boasting and insulting the other team is just poor sportsmanship." What I failed to add to this was: making sexist remarks and calling into question someone's integrity (whose integrity is impeccable) is unacceptable and should not be tolerated by anyone. Okay I know that there could be some confusion as to the definition of these three letter words: Ego: An exaggerated sense of self-importance; conceit. Appropriated pride in oneself; self esteem. Ass: A stupid, obstinate, or perverse person When someone's ego becomes an exaggerated sense of self-importance a remarkable transformation occurs they turn into an ass! Perhaps a post or thread is needed to be made as to how to treat each other with proper respect, irregardless of whatever issues or problems that you may have with one another. Just cut the crap, there is far too much mouthing off (I guess I'm adding to it) and negative comments that is making this forum just about unreadable.

well no one is forcing you to read it so if you don't like it you can fuck off. I really don't care if you want to call me an ass, everything I said is true even if it rubs people the wrong way.
