why does lotr reset their leaderboards . NO other games reset their boards why does lotr have too?? thats stupid. it takes the challenge out of the game..why work hard 2 be number 1 ,when in a month or two..it wont even matter cause the boards will be wiped clean.thats the only thing about this game that sucks ,,,,,,Bo

Agree 100%. When the game first launched, there were "rank-ups" and people exploiting the leaderboards...but at this point...it's kind of stupid to reset them.

I think it'd be nice if they didn't just completely erase the board. Like, if you could see weekly, monthly, yearly, and all-time leader-boards, that'd be nice. The idea behind it is okay, since it allows people to actually get on the leaderboard even if they were a bit late in getting the game. The Conquest guys get like 2,000,000 points every month before it gets erased, just imagine how much they'd have if the board never reset. Needless to say, you'd never get on the leaderboard unless you're on there in the first place. But, still, just erasing everybody's work every month is a bit harsh.

The score reset thing never really bothered me. I don't care about the leaderboards or scores. Most of the people at the top of the boards got there by point whoring the conquest mode anyway. All the leaderboard shows is how much time you have on your hands. As soon as the boards reset, you still see the same names at the top so nothing really changes. We want a little fame and recognition from time to time, but I'd rather be respected as a good player than popular with the highest score.

Not everyone gets there by point whoring but I am aware of some who do. Your right, in CTR and TDM it's all about the killing. That's why conquest has been reduced to a game of 7 mages in a group all in the same CP. I know you are one of the legit ones Bo. I wonder if there's a specific time the boards reset each month. Some one ambitious enough could be playing at that time and make the jump directly to #1 and stay there if you keep playing as often as you do.

Yea I was ranked number 1 in TDM for about 2 months but I had to play alot to maintain it. After they reset the scores I said screw it.

Meh, leaderboards don't really mean much. They don't show who is skilled so much as they show how much free time people have. When I was first in conquest I had to play so many hours every day, it was ridiculous (and it made me bored with the game cause I was playing it too much).

I would rather Lotr be more like Socom, It keeps track of total kills , games played, headshots, charcter usage. It was great way to find a elite without using the board. Resetting the board wouldnt bother me if it keep my kill to death ratio. I think I would be up in the 1000s for kill.

Clan options, stat tracking, player profile, etc. It would have made the experience much better. Alas, the current SOCOM (Confrontation) was a huge let down and I don't even play it anymore. The SOCOM series hasn't been good since S2.
